James A. Adlam Sr. passed away on Sept. 19, 2011. He was 86. He was one of 11 children of the late William Albert and the late Kathryn Adlam.

He was the beloved husband of 58 years of Ruth E. (Shapcott) Adlam; father of James A. Adlam Jr. and his wife, Janet, Martha Leary and her husband, James, Ruth Watkins and her husband, Scott, George Adlam and his wife, Susan and Joy Bailey and her husband, John. He was the grandfather of 24 and the great-grandfather of 9. He is also survived by his sister, Jane Smith. James was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a retiree of Westinghouse after 36 years, and a member of Richard Vaux - Ivanhoe Lodge 384, Free & Accepted Masons.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday from 9 a.m. and funeral service 11 a.m. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove. Interment will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
